The White River Hornets will head out on the road to face off against the Jefferson Raiders at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. White River is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 10.8 runs per game this season.
On Thursday, White River got the win against Beamer by a conclusive 20-11. The result was nothing new for the Hornets, who have now won six matchups by eight runs or more so far this season.
Elliotte Kajita was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. She has been consistent: she hasn't given up more than two walks in five consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going 2-for-4 with four RBI and one run.

In other batting news, White River got a massive performance out of Kennedy Selander, who went a perfect 4-for-4 with seven RBI, three runs, and two doubles. Those four hits gave Selander a new career-high. Another player making a difference was McKenna Charlton, who got on base in four of her five plate appearances with five RBI, three runs, and one stolen base.
White River was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .444. They are 7-1 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.
Meanwhile, Jefferson was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They lost 18-0 to Enumclaw.
White River is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-5 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 13.9 runs over those games. As for Jefferson, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-11.
Jefferson's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: White River has been making plenty of contact this season, having averaged 10 hits per game. It's a different story for Jefferson, though, as they've been averaging 14.6 hits. Given White River's sizable advantage in that area, the Raiders will need to find a way to close that gap.
White River took their win against Jefferson when the teams last played last Wednesday by a conclusive 14-1 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Hornets since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
