Jonah Garcia Crosses Big Stat Threshold
On Friday, Pflugerville Connally got the W thanks in part to Jonah Garcia playing the best football he has all season. Garcia rushed for 279 yards and seven touchdowns while picking up 8.5 yards per carry. The performance once again pushed his average rushing yardage north of 100 yards per game (119.7). He is on a roll when it comes to rushing touchdowns, as he's now punched in two or more in the last three games he's played dating back to last season.

Dylan Owens Delivers Best Effort of Season
Elgin was led to victory by Dylan Owens, who turned in his biggest game of the season on Friday. Owens rushed for 88 yards and two touchdowns on only six carries, and also threw for 138 yards and two touchdowns while completing 80% of his passes. Elgin is 2-1 when Owens posts two or more rushing touchdowns, but 1-3 otherwise.
Elgin is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games, which provided a massive bump to their 3-4 record this season. Owens and Elgin will head out to take on Bastrop at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.

Liberty Hill Wins Sixth-Straight Thanks to Kyle May
Kyle May was instrumental in extending Liberty Hill's winning streak to six on Friday. Pflugerville had no answer to May as he rushed for 181 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 7.2 yards per carry.
This season, May has run in 15 touchdowns while averaging 127.4 rushing yards per game. He's made a big improvement compared to last season: at this point last year, he had one rushing touchdown.

Rounding off our Top Five is Cole Taylor of Pflugerville. Taylor threw for 355 yards and four touchdowns. His passing production has been exceptional recently as that marked his third straight game with at least 302 passing yards dating back to last season.
Pflugerville's loss ended a five-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 5-2. A feisty cat fight will be fought when Panthers challenges Crockett at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
