Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Miller). They escaped with a win on Tuesday against the Pacific Pirates by the margin of a single free throw, 85-84. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 77-55 two weeks ago.

Pacific's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Maurice Fitzgerald, who dropped a double-double on 35 points and 26 boards. With that strong performance, Fitzgerald is now averaging an impressive 16 points per game. Douglas Perez was another key player, dropping a double-double on 18 points and 13 assists.

Miller's win ended a seven-game drought on the road and puts them at 4-11. As for Pacific, their loss dropped their record down to 3-17.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Miller will face off against Entrepreneur at 6:00 p.m. on February 4th. As for Pacific, they will challenge Indian Springs at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Pacific has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
