The Cienega Bobcats will head out to face off against the Flowing Wells Caballeros at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Flowing Wells took a loss in their last contest and will be looking to turn the tables on Cienega, who comes in off a win.

Cienega got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Julian Hainley out in front who threw for 249 yards and a pair of touchdowns on only 19 passes, and also punched in one TD on the ground. A healthy portion of Hainley's aerial production (81 yards to be exact) went to Logan Welsh, who also brought in a receiving touchdown.
Cienega didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off three passes before the game was over. It was truly a group effort as Carter Peterson, Davion Ross, and Riley Lohmueller picked up one apiece.
Meanwhile, Flowing Wells suffered their biggest loss since October 25, 2024 on Friday. They had to suffer through a 47-13 loss at the hands of Mountain View. Perhaps unsurprisingly, the Caballeros' biggest loss of the season was also their lowest-scoring.
Cienega will have to contain Jayden Simmons as he made an impact in Flowing Wells' last game. He rushed for 195 yards and one score while picking up 12.2 yards per carry. Simmons' rushing production has been exceptional recently as that marked his third straight game with at least 103 rushing yards.
Having lost for the first time this season, Flowing Wells fell to 6-1. As for Cienega, they now have a winning record of 4-3.
Everything came up roses for Cienega against Flowing Wells in their previous matchup back in September of 2017, as the team secured a 56-14 victory. In that matchup, the Bobcats amassed a halftime lead of 42-0, an impressive feat they'll look to repeat on Friday.
