The Greenup County Musketeers will head out on the road to face off against the Raceland Rams at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Greenup County will be strutting in after a win while Raceland will be coming in after a loss.
Greenup County can finally bid farewell to their three-game losing streak thanks to their game last Saturday. They came out on top against Ironton by a score of 44-37. Given Greenup County's advantage in MaxPreps's basketball rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 202nd in Kentucky, while Ironton is ranked 559th in Ohio), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Raceland suffered their biggest loss since December 22, 2023 on Thursday. They had to suffer through a rough 74-36 loss at the hands of Russell. Raceland has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Greenup County's victory ended a seven-game drought at home and bumped them up to 4-12. As for Raceland, their loss was their third straight on the road, which bumped their record down to 7-9.
Everything came up roses for Greenup County against Raceland in their previous meeting back in February of 2023 as the squad secured a 64-36 victory. Does Greenup County have another victory up their sleeve, or will Raceland turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
