This season hasn't been kind to the Okmulgee Bulldogs, who are still winless after their sixth match. The New Year welcomed they with a  71-12 whooping from Lincoln Christian on Thursday. While losing is never fun, Okmulgee can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage  in MaxPreps' Oklahoma basketball rankings  (they are ranked 461st, while Lincoln Christian is ranked 30th).
 Lincoln Christian's win  was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from   Maddi Stewart, who  dropped  a double-double on 12 points and 12  rebounds. The  matchup was  Stewart's eighth in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was  Kayli Atkinson, who  scored 22 points.
 Okmulgee bumped their record down to 0-6 with that  loss, which was their 11th straight  on the road dating back to last season. As for Lincoln Christian, they have  been performing  incredibly well recently as they've  won eight of their last nine matches,  which provided a nice bump to their 11-2 record this season.
 Both  teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Okmulgee will take on Central at 6:00  p.m.  on Tuesday. Central has now lost seven straight, and the team is hunting for their first win since December 1. As for Lincoln Christian, they will stay at home for another  game and welcome Stilwell at 7:00  p.m.  on January 5th.
