The Todd County Falcons lost against the Red Cloud Crusaders back in February of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The New Year welcomed Todd County with a 78-28 whooping from Red Cloud. Todd County has struggled against Red Cloud recently, as their contest on Saturday was their seventh consecutive lost matchup.
Red Cloud found their leader in underclassman Ashlan Carlow-Blount, who dropped a double-double on 23 points and ten assists. The matchup was Carlow-Blount's seventh in a row with at least ten points. Jodene Hunter was another key contributor, scoring 19 points along with five steals.
Todd County's defeat dropped their record down to 3-5. As for Red Cloud, the win for they keeps them at an undefeated 7-0.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Todd County will face off against St. Francis Indian at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. Red Cloud will be staying on the road on Tuesday to face off against Lakota Tech at 7:00 p.m. on January 9th. Lakota Tech is coming into the contest on a five-game losing streak.
