Softball Recap: White Knoll Has No Trouble Against Westwood

White Knoll won the last time they faced Westwood and things went their way on Friday too. The White Knoll Timberwolves were the clear victor by a 12-2 margin over the Westwood Redhawks.

Adelynn Lewis looked comfortable as she didn't allow a single earned run over four innings pitched. What's more, she gave up only three hits, the fewest she's had since back in April of 2024.

At the plate, Allie Royer was incredible, scoring two runs while going 3-for-4. That's the most hits she has posted since back in March of 2024. Lillian Priest also deserves some recognition as she brought in her first RBI of the season.

White Knoll now has a winning record of 2-1-1. As for Westwood, they dropped their record down to 2-7 with the defeat, which was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. White Knoll is packing up and heading out on the road for their first away game this season: they will take on River Bluff at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Westwood, they will head out to face off against Ridge View at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Westwood has given up an average of 10.4 runs per game this season, so hopefully the team got some pitching drills in this week.
