He has become a key player for David Anderson: the team is 3-1 when he allows at  most  two  earned runs, but 5-6 otherwise. Esarey was also big at the plate,  going 1-for-3 with three  RBI, one  run,  and one  double. That's the most  RBI  he has posted since back in March.

 In other batting news,  Ashton Hinchliffe was  excellent,  going 3-for-4 with two  stolen bases, one  run,  and one  RBI. He is becoming a predictor of David Anderson's success: when he posts  at  least three  hits the team is undefeated (and 5-7 when he doesn't).  Paxton Henthorne also deserves some recognition as  he  scored his first  runs of the season.
 Meanwhile, Jackson-Milton made easy work of Waterloo  on Thursday and carried off  a  17-9 victory.
 David Anderson now  has a winning record of 8-7. As for Jackson-Milton, they are  on a roll lately: they've  won four of their last five matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-7 record  this season.
