Tyler HEAT can now show off 16 landslide victories after their most recent game on Saturday. They blew past CHAAMP HomeSchool 64-28 on the road. The win was nothing new for Tyler HEAT as they're now sitting on three straight.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Tyler HEAT to victory, but perhaps none more so than Jackson Tomlin, who scored 13 points along with eight steals and six assists. Tomlin is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last nine games he's played. Elijah Grimes was another key contributor, scoring ten points along with seven rebounds and two blocks.
CHAAMP HomeSchool lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Caelan DeLisi, who scored eight points along with two steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Drew Wigley, who scored seven points along with six rebounds.
CHAAMP HomeSchool struggled to get the ball back on offense and finished the game with only an offensive rebound. That's the fewest offensive rebounds they've managed all season.
Tyler HEAT is on a roll lately: they've won 11 of their last 12 matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 26-6 record this season. As for CHAAMP HomeSchool, their loss dropped their record down to 13-8.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Tyler HEAT will be staying on the road on Friday to face off against Marshall Christian Academy at 7:00 p.m. on January 26th. Marshall Christian Academy will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Texas Rankings (they are ranked 1142nd, while Tyler HEAT is ranked 222nd). CHAAMP HomeSchool will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on East Texas Homeschool Sports at 7:15 p.m. on February 2nd.
