If Annandale was riding high  fresh off their  57-36 takedown of Falls Church last Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Annandale Atoms were dealt  a  93-51 defeat at the hands of the Hayfield Hawks on Monday. The Atoms' loss signaled the end of their four-game winning streak.
 Hayfield's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was   Parker Cage, who  went 8 for 12 from beyond the arc on his way to 26  points. Cage is trending in the right direction considering he's  improved his point production for three straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of  Jaylen Lemon, who  went 7 of 9  en route to 21 points and five  boards.
Annandale now  has a losing record at 7-8. As for Hayfield, their victory was  their 19th straight at home dating back to last season, which  pushed their record up to 12-5.
 Annandale wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next  matchup,  a  60-48  win against Justice on the 30th. As for Hayfield, they also  didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next  game,  a  71-38  victory against Thomas Jefferson Science & Technology on the 30th.
