The Freedom Patriots will wrap up 2023 with a road trip to face off against the Phillipsburg Stateliners at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Last Thursday, Freedom came up short against East Stroudsburg North and fell 58-47. Freedom has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Andrew Martin was his usual excellent self, scoring 23 points along with nine rebounds and four steals. That's the first time this season that he pulled down eight or more rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Matthew Scerbo Jr., who scored 15 points along with six rebounds and five assists.
Freedom bumped their record down to 2-8 with that defeat, which was their third straight at home. Those losses can't be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 50.7 points per game. As for Phillipsburg, their victory bumped their record up to 3-1.
