Dumas had to skate by with only a one-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the ten-run drubbing they dealt Pampa on Tuesday. Dumas' pitchers stepped up to hand Pampa a 10-0 shutout. The result was nothing new for the Demons, who have now won 13 contests by six runs or more so far this season.

Dumas is on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 11 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 19-5 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.3 runs on average over those games. This is the second loss in a row for Pampa and nudges their season record down to 12-7.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Dumas will face off against rival Hereford at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. The timing is sure in Dumas' favor as the squad sits on four straight wins at home while Hereford has been banged up by three consecutive losses on the road. Meanwhile, Pampa is set to challenge their familiar foe Canyon at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
