If Sports & Medical Sciences Academy was looking for revenge after losing 39-35 to them when the teams met, then they'll just have to keep looking.
It was another big night for Bailey Winner, who dropped a double-double on 37 points and 12 rebounds for East Windsor. That makes it five consecutive games in which Winner has scored at least a third of East Windsor's points. Nohely Santana was another key contributor, scoring two points along with 15 rebounds and seven assists.
Sports & Medical Sciences Academy has traveled a rocky road recently having lost five of their last six games, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-8 record this season. As for East Windsor, their win ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 10-4.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Sports & Medical Sciences Academy is on the road again on Tuesday and plays the Bulldogs at 6:00 p.m. on January 30th. Bolton will be looking to keep their four-game home win streak alive. As for East Windsor, they will head out on the road to challenge the Warriors at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are closely ranked in Connecticut (Canton is ranked 75th, while the Panthers are ranked 81st).
