Bishop Hartley's Alonzo Saxton recorded the longest rushing play in Central Catholic - Gold this season in his game against Manchester last week. Saxton's team defeated the Panthers as he sprinted for 85 yards on the play and finished with 87 in all.
Bishop Hartley was able to crack the Top 25 in the state rankings this week after besting Manchester. Brad Burchfield's team came in at 24 in the state poll after placing at number 29 last week.
Bishop Hartley's offense has been unstoppable this season and the Hawks feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Jared Brandewie has thrown for 1,330 yards and 15 touchdowns this season, while Jacob Mercier has 31 catches for 729 yards.
The Hawks extended the longest winning streak in the league this week by beating Jim France's team, 49-22. The win marks 12th in a row for the Bishop Hartley.
