Devils Lake won the last time they faced Wahpeton and things went their way on Friday too. The Devils Lake Firebirds were the clear victor by a 67-47 margin over the Wahpeton Huskies. The Firebirds have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won eight games by 20 points or more this season.

Wahpeton lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Claire Woods, who went 5-for-6 to rack up 14 points. What's more, she also posted a 83% field goal percentage, which is the highest she's achieved since back in February of 2024. Another player making a difference was Olivia Hansen, who posted six points and five rebounds.

The victory was the third in a row for Devils Lake, bringing their record for this year to 17-5. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 70.3 points over those games. As for Wahpeton, their loss dropped their record down to 9-11.

Devils Lake has already played their next matchup, a 65-37 win against Central Cass on the 15th. As for Wahpeton, they are taking a road trip to square off against Kindred at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Wahpeton is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 55 points per game this season.
