While Lincoln Prep put up some runs on Friday, the same can't be said for Superior. The Lightning put the hurt on the Panthers with a sharp 7-0 victory. The Lightning might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won five matches by six runs or more this season.

Lincoln Prep's win was truly a team effort as three different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Asher Smith, who scored two runs while going 1-for-3. Smith also hit a double, marking his first of the season.

Lincoln Prep has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 5-6-1 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.2 runs over those games. As for Superior, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-6.

Lincoln Prep didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 19-0 win against Arete Prep on the 7th. As for Superior, they have also already played their next matchup, a 10-0 loss against Hayden on the 9th.
