The Knoxville Blue Bullets were the 38-34 winner over the Biggsville West Central Heat when they last played one another back in November of 2022, but their luck changed this time around. Knoxville took a serious blow against Biggsville West Central on Wednesday, falling 61-29. While losing is never fun, Knoxville can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Illinois basketball rankings (they are ranked 390th, while Biggsville West Central is ranked 134th).
Biggsville West Central's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Harlee Hainds, who dropped a double-double on 30 points and 12 rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Hainds has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Shelby Bowman, who dropped a double-double on 18 points and ten rebounds.
Knoxville dropped their record down to 9-17 with that defeat, which was their third straight on the road. As for Biggsville West Central, they are on a roll lately: they've won 11 of their last 13 matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 20-7 record this season.
Knoxville will head out on the road to challenge Macomb at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. Biggsville West Central does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
