The Prairie Falcons's three-game losing streak dating back to last season came to an end on Wednesday. They blew past Battle Ground 68-33 on the road. With Prairie ahead 37-15 at the half, the match was all but over already.
Battle Ground's loss came despite strong showings from Delaynee Hibbs and Skylar Fridriksson. Hibbs scored four points, while Fridriksson scored eight points along with ten rebounds and three steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Hibbs has scored all season.
The victory got Prairie back to even at 1-1. As for Battle Ground, their defeat was their fourth straight at home dating back to last season, which bumped their record down to 1-4.
Prairie will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on St. Margaret's at 4:30 p.m. on December 27th. Battle Ground will be home for the holidays to greet Union at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Union presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Battle Ground in Washington (Union is ranked fourth, while Battle Ground is ranked 187th).
