Several Pilots players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was McKenlee Pirtle, who scored eight points. Another player making a difference was Jeserick Pilgram, who scored seven points.
The victory makes it two in a row for Frankfort and bumps their season record up to 8-12. As for Cairo, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 5-11.
Frankfort will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Pinckneyville at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Cairo won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Crab Orchard at 8:00 p.m. on January 17th. One thing working in Crab Orchard's favor is that they have posted big point totals every time they've taken the court this season.
