Reid Giles Tops All Others This Week
Starting off the list is Rabun County's Reid Giles, who we judged to be the best player in the league this week. On Friday Giles made 11 total tackles (1.0 for loss). The performance also marked the most rushing yards (232) he has had since back in September of 2023. He was no stranger to the big play, turning on the jets for a run that went for 52 yards.

Keyon Standifer's big game helped extend Athens Academy's winning streak to seven on Friday. Standifer was dynamite, picking up 198 receiving yards and two touchdowns. He torched the secondary when he pulled down a catch that went for 78 yards.
Athens Academy pushed their record up to 7-0 with the victory, which was their fourth straight on the road. Standifer and Athens Academy will square off against Providence Christian Academy at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.

Kj Whitehead was instrumental in extending Athens Academy's winning streak to seven on Friday. Whitehead did his part (and then some), picking up 77 receiving yards and a touchdown for the 'W'. He got the majority of those receiving yards when he pulled down a pass and took off for a gain of 75 yards.
For the season, Whitehead has caught 2 touchdowns while averaging 15.6 receiving yards per game.
