The Northwood Chargers stacked a seventh blowout win onto their ever-increasing hoard on Friday. They took their game on the road with ease, bagging a 55-20 victory over Chatham Central. The win was nothing new for Northwood as they're now sitting on three straight.
Mikaylah Glover continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, dropping a double-double on 19 points and 13 rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points she has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Neah Henry, who scored nine points along with five rebounds.
Chatham Central's loss came despite strong showings from Chloe Scott and Karaleigh Dodson. Scott scored ten points, while Dodson scored five points along with 12 rebounds and three steals.
Perhaps unsurprisingly given the score, Chatham Central struggled to work together and finished the game with only three assists. That's the fewest assists they've managed all season.
Northwood's victory was their 13th straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 12-2. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 55.8 points per game. As for Chatham Central, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 9-5.
Coincidentally, Northwood and Chatham Central will both be playing North Moore the next time they take the court. Chatham Central will head out to face North Moore at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday, while Northwood will host them at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.
