The King's Academy Lions will head out on the road to face off against the True North Classical Academy Titans at 7:00 p.m. King's Academy knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past seven games -- so hopefully True North Classical Academy likes a good challenge.
Last Thursday, King's Academy humbled Suncoast with a 49-7 victory. The result was nothing new for King's Academy, who have now won five matchups by 26 points or more so far this season.
King's Academy's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Marion Victor, who rushed for 229 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 12.1 yards per carry. The team also got some help courtesy of Joe Dailey, who threw for 193 yards and three touchdowns while completing 75% of his passes.
Meanwhile, True North Classical Academy unfortunately witnessed the end of their six-game winning streak on Friday. They took a 24-13 hit to the loss column at the hands of Bradford.
With King's Academy's victory and True North Classical Academy's loss, both teams now sport identical 6-1 records.
Keep an eye on the end zone in Friday's game as the pair haven't had much trouble getting there this season. King's Academy commands a daunting offense this season, having averaged 5 touchdowns per game. However, it's not like True North Classical Academy struggles in that department as they've been even better at 5.6 per game. With these two high-octane teams facing off on Friday, fans should be in for an exciting offensive matchup.
