Creighton Prep is 1-9 against Omaha Westside since August of 2017 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The Junior Jays will venture away from home to face off against the Warriors at 7:00 p.m. Creighton Prep will come into the matchup with an undefeated record on the line.
On Friday, Creighton Prep beat Fremont 37-24. Given the Junior Jays' advantage in MaxPreps' Nebraska football rankings (they are ranked ninth, while the Tigers are ranked 53rd) , the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
It was another big night for Angelo Wallker, who rushed for 169 yards and a pair of touchdowns while picking up 8.0 yards per carry. He didn't just play on offense: he also made eight total tackles and defended one pass. Tyler Miles was in the mix too, providing Creighton Prep with one TD.
They were just one part of a punishing run game: Creighton Prep was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 275 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've posted since back in October of 2024.
Another reason for the win was Creighton Prep's imposing defense, which managed to get into the backfield for four sacks. The team can thank three different players for their defensive prowess: David Heine, Jake Brock, and Elisee Ahanti, who each picked up one sack apiece. Creighton Prep received some extra help from Miles, whose fumble return for a touchdown made for one of the most unforgettable moments.
Meanwhile, Omaha Westside's offense rose to the challenge against a Storm defense that boasted an average of only 13.43 points allowed on Friday. The Warriors claimed a resounding 58-17 win over Elkhorn South. The victory continues a trend for the Warriors in their matchups with the Storm: they've now won six in a row.
Creighton Prep better keep an eye on Tay Tay Jenkins. He was instrumental in Omaha Westside's win, rushing for 134 yards and three scores. Jenkins' rushing production has been exceptional for a while as that marked his 16th straight game with at least 108 rushing yards dating back to last season. Quinton Warren also deserves some recognition as he rushed for his first rushing yards of the season.
Omaha Westside didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Eli Johnson and Bryson Williams. Another thorn in Elkhorn South's side was Burke Brown, who made eight total tackles (5.0 for loss).
Creighton Prep's record is now 7-0. As for Omaha Westside, their record now sits at 6-1.

Jenkins has been a dominant force too and has run in 18 touchdowns while averaging 177.4 rushing yards per game.
Creighton Prep was taken down by Omaha Westside 47-7 when the teams last played back in October of 2024. Now that the Junior Jays know the damage he can cause, will they be able to stop him this time? There's only one way to find out.
