Volleyball Recap: Friday's Loss Ends Turtle Lake's Winning Streak

Turtle Lake lost against Cadott back in September of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Lakers took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Hornets. The Lakers' defeat signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Charli Molls paced Turtle Lake's offense, picking up five kills. Molls got some help from Lacey Popenhagen and her 14 assists. Popenhagen was also solid from the service line: she led the team with three aces.

Cadott can attribute much of their success to Clara Blanchette, who had 11 digs and one assist. Those 11 digs gave Blanchette a new career-high.

Turtle Lake's loss dropped their record down to 3-2. As for Cadott, their win bumped their record up to 3-1.

Turtle Lake has already played their next matchup, a 2-0 defeat against Rice Lake on the 29th. As for Cadott, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 2-0 victory against Athens on the 29th.
