The Anderson Christian Lions will head out on the road to take on the Temple Christian Academy Warriors at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Anderson Christian will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps South Carolina Rankings (they are ranked 317th, while the Warriors are ranked 105th).
Anderson Christian won a close one the last time they played, but unfortunately they suffered a serious change of fortune on Friday. They were outmatched by Richard Winn Academy at home and fell 55-23. Anderson Christian has not had much luck with the Eagles recently, as the team's come up short the last five times they've met.
Meanwhile, Temple Christian Academy waltzed into their game on Friday with 15 straight wins but they left with 16. They walked away with a 64-52 victory over Greenville Classical Academy. Temple Christian Academy pushed the score to 54-32 by the end of the third, a deficit the Lions cut but never quite recovered from.
Jeramy Trangmar was his usual excellent self, scoring 26 points along with eight assists and six rebounds. He has been hot recently, having posted 16 or more points the last 15 times he's played. Another player making a difference was Luke Passetti, who scored 12 points.
Anderson Christian dropped their record down to 2-17 with that loss, which was their third straight at home. As for Temple Christian Academy, their victory bumped their record up to 21-3.
Anderson Christian took a serious blow against the Warriors in their previous meeting back in November of 2023, falling 71-35. Can Anderson Christian avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
