The Bonneville Bees had to endure a three-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They skirted past Hillcrest 69-66. The victory was just what Bonneville needed coming off of a 77-51 defeat in their prior game.
It was another big night for Alyssa Harris, who scored 34 points along with five assists and five rebounds. That makes it eight consecutive games in which she has scored at least a third of Bonneville's points. Ava Arfmann was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on 13 points and 12 rebounds.
Bonneville's victory bumped their record up to 6-12. As for Hillcrest, their loss was their sixth straight at home, which bumped their record down to 2-13.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Bonneville will take on Skyline at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Skyline knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past three contests -- so hopefully Bonneville likes a good challenge. As for Hillcrest, they will be playing at home against Blackfoot at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Blackfoot presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Hillcrest in Idaho (Blackfoot is ranked 17th, while Hillcrest is ranked 76th).
