The Littleton Lions will be playing in front of their home fans against the Evergreen Cougars at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
On Wednesday, Littleton got the win against Pomona by a conclusive 57-37. With Littleton ahead 34-13 at the half, the game was all but over already.
Jacy Chandler continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, going 6 for 10 from beyond the arc en route to 29 points and 4 assists. As a matter of fact, that's the most points she has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Samantha Hernandez Tobon, who scored 13 points along with three steals and two blocks.
Meanwhile, everything came up roses for Evergreen on the road against Conifer on Wednesday as the squad secured a 53-23 win. Given Evergreen's advantage in MaxPreps' Colorado basketball rankings (they are ranked 63rd, while Conifer is ranked 282nd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
The victory got Littleton back to even at 10-10. As for Evergreen, they are on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine matches, which provided a nice bump to their 15-5 record this season.
Littleton couldn't quite finish off Evergreen in their previous matchup back in February of 2023 and fell 39-37. Thankfully for Littleton, Jameson Mott (who scored 15 points along with five rebounds and two steals) won't be suiting up this time. Will that be enough to change the final result?
