It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact the Pettus Eagles can now relate to. They were dealt a 66-0 defeat at the hands of Brackett on Friday. Pettus just can't catch a break and has now endured four defeats in a row.
Kontagious Cook had an outrageously good game for Brackett as he rushed for 288 yards and four touchdowns on only 13 carries. Cook's longest rush was for an incredible 93 yards. Marques Hernandez was another key contributor, rushing for six yards and two touchdowns.
Pettus has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost five of their last six matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-8 record this season. As for Brackett, the win (which was their seventh in a row) raised their record to 9-2.
Pettus does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Brackett will take on Granger at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Granger is coming into the contest hot, having won their last four games.
