Lehighton never got on the board in their matchup last Friday, but that sure wasn't the case in their game against Moravian Academy on Thursday. They were the clear victors by a 16-1 margin over the Lions. The result was nothing new for the Indians, who have now won six games by seven runs or more so far this season.

Jayse Lawrence made a big impact no matter where he played. He tossed three innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in strikeouts (four). He was also big at the plate, going 3-for-4 with three RBI, two runs, and one triple.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Cody Snyder, who scored two runs and stole three bases while going 1-for-1. Those three stolen bases gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Brady Stubits, who scored a run while getting on base in both of his plate appearances.

Lehighton always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .643. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Moravian Academy only posted an OBP of .308.

Lehighton's record is now 8-1. As for Moravian Academy, they are on a nine-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 0-9.

Lehighton wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next matchup, an 11-4 defeat against Southern Lehigh on the 14th. As for Moravian Academy, they have also already played their next contest, a 12-0 loss against Northern Lehigh on the 11th.
