The Madeira MUSTANGS/AMAZONS fell on hard times earlier this season, but after back-to-back wins it seems like their luck might finally be changing. They walked away with a 54-47 win over Mt. Healthy on Tuesday.
Madeira's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Will Manning, who scored 14 points along with six rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Peter Laux, who scored 12 points along with two blocks.
Madeira's victory bumped their record up to 5-14. As for Mt. Healthy, they dropped their record down to 4-16 with that defeat, which was their tenth straight on the road.
Madeira will challenge Deer Park at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Deer Park has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games. As for Mt. Healthy, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Oyler at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Mt. Healthy is facing Oyler at the right time seeing as Oyler is stuck on a four-game losing streak.
