Anderson is 8-2 against Marion since April of 2019 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Tuesday. The Indians are taking a road trip to face off against the Giants at 5:30 p.m. Anderson is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.2 runs per game this season.
Anderson hadn't beaten Connersville on the road since May 23, 2019 but that history sure didn't bother them on Saturday. The Indians walked away with a 5-2 win over the Spartans.
Kaydin Hutchison spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered just two earned runs on five hits and racked up seven Ks. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in three consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Isaac McKenzie and Steven Reyes did most of the damage at the plate: McKenzie went 2-for-4 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run, while Reyes went 2-for-3 with two doubles and one run. Those two hits gave Reyes a new career-high.
Meanwhile, Marion was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their 13th straight defeat dating back to last season. They came up short against Madison-Grant, falling 15-9.
Caleb Richardson was cooking despite his team's loss, going 2-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double. That double marked the first that he has hit this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Mason Bunch, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with one stolen base and one double.
Marion's loss dropped their record down to 0-11. As for Anderson, they now have a winning record of 6-5.
Marion's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Anderson has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .436. It's a different story for Marion, though, as they've only averaged .364. Will they be able to contain Anderson's hitters?
Anderson skirted past Marion 9-8 when the teams last played back in May of 2024. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Indians since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
