El Molino have had a week off and are no doubt ready to get back on the field. They will challenge Montgomery on the road at 7:30 PM on Friday. The teams both are sauntering into the matchup backed by comfortable wins in their prior games.
El Molino have had to suffer through a four-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They blew past Piner 42-20. El Molino were expected to win, but the margin was definitely larger than the state rankings had forecast.
Last Friday, Montgomery put the finishing touches on their 3rd blowout victory of the season. Everything went their way against Piner as they made off with a 29-8 win. The win was familiar territory for Montgomery, who now have four in a row.
Their wins bumped El Molino to 2-5 and Montgomery to 7-2. The Montgomery defense got after the quarterback against Piner to the tune of eight sacks, so El Molino's offensive line better have put in some good practice this past week in preparation for the game.
