The Poth Pirates will take on the Alice Coyotes in a tournament on Friday. Poth will be looking to extend their current ten-game winning streak.
Poth came out on top against Del Rio on Thursday thanks in part to the team's impressive four-run fourth inning. The Pirates put the hurt on the Rams with a sharp 8-1 win. Considering the Pirates have won nine contests by more than five runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

Poth hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. The team has now struck out at least five batters every time they've taken the field this season.
Meanwhile, Alice earned a 6-2 victory over Wagner on Thursday.
Dalyhla Sanchez was a major factor no matter where she played. On the mound, she didn't allow a single earned run over seven innings pitched. Sanchez was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-3 with two RBI, one run, and one double.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Lily Flores, who went 2-for-3 with two runs, two doubles, and one RBI. Keira Thomas also deserves some recognition as she hit her first double of the season.
Poth's record is now 12-2. As for Alice, their record now sits at 3-7.
Alice's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Poth has been making plenty of contact this season, having averaged 11.2 hits per game. It's a different story for Alice, though, as they've been averaging 9 hits. Given Poth's sizable advantage in that area, the Coyotes will need to find a way to close that gap.
