On Saturday, Clarksville came up short against Hauser and fell 45-38.
Clarksville's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Aaliyah Watts, who scored seven points along with 11 rebounds. Emma Money was another key contributor, scoring five points along with two steals.
Even though they lost, Clarksville were working as a unit and finished the game with 12 assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.
Hauser's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Abby Manley led the charge by scoring 19 points along with two steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Manley has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Bella Kilps, who scored 11 points along with eight rebounds and six assists.
Clarksville has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost 12 of their last 13 matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-15 record this season. As for Hauser, their victory bumped their record up to 6-15.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Clarksville will take on Eastern at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Eastern has now lost nine straight, and the team is hunting for their first win since December 5. As for Hauser, they will stay at home for another game and welcome Morristown at 7:30 p.m. on January 18th. Hopefully Morristown focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up ten on Wednesday.
