Softball Recap: Saugatuck's Run of Four Straight Victories Now Over

Saugatuck dropped their record down to 7-10 on Saturday, which also ended the team's four-game streak of wins. They fell just short of the Constantine Falcons by a score of 5-3. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest defeat the Trailblazers have suffered since April 24th.

As for Constantine, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 21-9. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.0 runs over those games.

For Constantine's part, Olivia Herlein was incredible, going 2-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double. Jozee Buglione was another key player, going 2-for-4 with one stolen base, one run, and one double.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Saugatuck will challenge Bridgman at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Constantine, they will venture away from home to face off against Three Rivers at 4:00 p.m. on Monday.
