The Fayette Academy Vikings will head out on the road to take on the Trinity Christian Academy Lions at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Fayette Academy is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. They blew past Fayette Ware 24-1 on Tuesday. The win was familiar territory for the Vikings, who have now won three matchups in a row.

JoAnna Bond made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she pitched three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. What's more, she posted three strikeouts, the most she's had since back in March. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-4 with three runs and two RBI.
In other batting news, Kasey Kimery was a standout: she went 2-for-4 with two stolen bases, four RBI, and two runs. She is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now snagged two or more in each of the last three games she's played. Addison Parker also deserves some recognition as she brought in her first RBI of the season.
Fayette Academy hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. The team has now struck out at least three batters in three consecutive games.
Meanwhile, Trinity Christian Academy had to endure a three-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They never let Jackson North Side get on the board and left with a 12-0 victory on Monday.
Like Fayette Academy, Trinity Christian Academy also got a great game from a two-way player: Haley Lewis. She looked comfortable on the mound, keeping things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out eight over five innings pitched. Lewis was also big at the plate, going 3-for-4 with three runs, four RBI, and two doubles.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Rylee Hidrogo, who went 2-for-3 with two runs, two doubles, and one RBI. Another player making a difference was Annelise Friend, who got on base in three of her four plate appearances with two stolen bases, one triple, and one run.
Fayette Academy pushed their record up to 8-5 with the win, which was their fourth straight on the road. The road victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.8 runs on average over those games. As for Trinity Christian Academy, their record now sits at 7-8.
Tuesday's contest might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. Fayette Academy has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .526. However, it's not like Trinity Christian Academy struggles in that department as they've averaged .448. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
