Milwaukee Hamilton saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Mason Leber, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base and one RBI. Leber has been hot for a while, having posted at least one stolen base the last ten times he's played. Felix Gallegos also deserves some recognition as he got his first hit of the season.
As for Milwaukee King, the victory snapped their losing streak at four games and leaves them with a 7-7 record. Their hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.
On Milwaukee King's side, Mitchell Pritzlaff and Oden Petty made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, Pritzlaff pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Meanwhile, Petty tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Pritzlaff also tossed no earned runs, which is notable because Milwaukee King is undefeated when he allows at most one earned run, but 4-7 otherwise. At the plate, Pritzlaff went 3-for-4 with three runs, one stolen base, and two RBI, while Petty got on base in all five of his plate appearances with three RBI, two runs, and one stolen base. The dominant performance also gave Petty a new career-high in hits (three).
In other batting news, Alex Jackson was incredible, going 3-for-4 with four runs, two triples, and three RBI. Those four runs gave him a new career-high. Thatcher Mylott was another key player, getting on base in three of his five plate appearances with four runs.
Coming up, Milwaukee Hamilton will take on Augustine Prep at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Milwaukee King has already played their next game (against Hamilton/Audubon), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
