 After a string of three wins, Poston Butte's good fortune finally ran out  on Monday. They fell just short of Arizona College Prep by a score of  5-4. Poston Butte has not had much luck with Arizona College Prep recently, as the team's come up short the last three times they've met.
 Poston Butte saw seven different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was  Haylee Lopez, who  went 2-for-3 with two  doubles and a  stolen base. Lopez has been consistent recently: she hasn't  tossed less than five  strikeouts in three consecutive pitching appearances. The team also got some help courtesy of  Isabella Edwards, who  scored a  run while going 2-for-3.
 Meanwhile, American Leadership Academy scored the most  runs they've had all season to find success  on Monday. They put the hurt on American Leadership Academy - Gilbert North with a sharp  19-7 victory. Considering American Leadership Academy has won four matches by more than six  runs this season,  Monday's blowout was nothing new.
 Poston Butte's defeat  ended  a  three-game streak of away wins  and  brought them to 10-4. As for American Leadership Academy, they now  have a winning record of 5-4.
