On Monday, Utica Academy of Science strolled past Lowville with points to spare, taking the game 70-56. Utica Academy of Science pushed the score to 65-36 by the end of the third, a deficit Lowville cut but never quite recovered from.
It was another big night for Doneilious King j.r, who scored 27 points along with eight assists and eight rebounds. That's the first time this season that he posted eight or more assists. Jazier Brown was another key contributor, scoring 20 points along with two steals.
Meanwhile, Albany Academy for Boys waltzed into their matchup on Saturday with six straight wins but they left with seven. They walked away with a 62-55 victory over Rice Memorial.
Utica Academy of Science's victory ended a nine-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 3-13. As for Albany Academy for Boys, their win bumped their record up to 10-3.
Utica Academy of Science ended up a good deal behind Albany Academy for Boys in their previous matchup back in January of 2023, losing 60-46. Can Utica Academy of Science avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
