Even though they lost, Walnut Hills were working as a unit and finished the game with 13 assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.
West Clermont's win on Friday was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Rayshawn Hubbard, who dropped a double-double on 18 points and 14 rebounds. That makes it three consecutive games in which Hubbard has scored at least 25% of West Clermont's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Carson Duke, who scored 11 points.
Walnut Hills' defeat was their third straight at home, which bumped their record down to 0-6. As for West Clermont, their win ended a five-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 1-5.
Walnut Hills and Calvary Day School will round out the year against one another at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday at. Calvary Day School presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Walnut Hills in their respective states (Calvary Day School is ranked 140th in North Carolina, while Walnut Hills is ranked 787th in Ohio). West Clermont won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Goshen at 3:00 p.m. on December 23rd. One thing working in Goshen's favor is that they have posted big point totals every time they've taken the court this season.
