Belen Jesuit is 4-0 against American since December of 2020 and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Wednesday. The Belen Jesuit Wolverines will face off against the American Patriots. Each of these teams will be battling to keep a four-game winning streak alive.
Last Tuesday, in a tight game that could have gone either way, Belen Jesuit made off with a 56-55 victory over Bishop Verot.

Belen Jesuit's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Orlando Roche, who went 7 for 14 on his way to 18 points. The contest was Roche's third in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Javi Vasseur, who went 6 of 8 en route to 14 points.
Belen Jesuit was working as a unit and finished the game with 19 assists. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Bishop Verot only racked up six assists.
Meanwhile, two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only American walked away with it. They came out on top against the Thoroughbreds by a score of 78-66 on Monday. Given the Patriots' advantage in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings (they are ranked 196th, while the Thoroughbreds are ranked 402nd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
American's win came from a few key players Belen Jesuit will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Angel Torres, who went 7 for 17 on his way to 23 points along with five boards and three steals. He is on a roll when it comes to points, as he's now scored 15 or more in the last four games he's played. Derrius Black was another key player, putting up 16 points and seven rebounds.
Belen Jesuit pushed their record up to 17-8 with the win, which was their seventh straight at home. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 62.3 points per game. As for American, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 16-7 record this season.
Rebounding is likely to be a big factor in this contest: Belen Jesuit has been crashing the boards this season, having averaged 25.3 rebounds per game. However, it's not like American struggles in that department as they've been averaging 29 boards. With both teams battling to corral missed shots, we'll see if one team can grab an edge.
Belen Jesuit didn't have too much breathing room in their game against American in their previous meeting back in January, but they still walked away with a 58-54 victory. Will Belen Jesuit repeat their success, or does American have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
