North Adams is 1-6 against Eastern since April of 2016 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Thursday. The Green Devils will be defending their home field for the first time this season when they go up against the Warriors at 5:00 p.m. North Adams has given up an average of 11.3 runs per game this season, but Thursday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.
North Adams is headed into Thursday's contest looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their fifth straight game on Tuesday. They lost 16-6 to Fairfield.
Anna Armstrong and Paige Evans did some serious damage despite the final result: Armstrong scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-3, while Evans went 2-for-3 with two RBI and one double. The team also got some help courtesy of Ahlyesa Taylor, who went 1-for-3 with two RBI and one double.
Meanwhile, after only one run in their last matchup, Eastern made sure to put some runs up on the board against Peebles on Wednesday. The Warriors put the hurt on the Indians with a sharp 13-7 victory. With that win, the Warriors brought their scoring average up to 6.9 runs per game.
Addi Arey made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she tossed six innings while giving up four earned (and three unearned) runs off eight hits. Arey was also stellar in the batter's box, going 3-for-4 with one home run and three runs. That's the most hits she has posted since back in April of 2024.

Thursday's game will be a test for both teams' pitchers. North Adams hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .325. However, it's not like Eastern struggles in that department as they've averaged .336. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
North Adams might still be hurting after the 19-6 defeat they got from Eastern in their previous matchup back in April of 2024. Can the Green Devils avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
