Soccer Recap: Tuesday's Victory Is Starmount's Third in Last Four Outings

Mount Airy kept up with Starmount until halftime on Tuesday, but afterwards: not so much. The Rams' defense stepped up to hand the Granite Bears a 3-0 shutout. Considering Starmount have won four matchups by more than two goals this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

They hit Mount Airy with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Melissa De La Fuente, Amy Ocampo, and Johana Santos-Ramirez.

Starmount is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 5-6-1 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 13 goals over those four games. As for Mount Airy, they are on an eight-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-9-1.
