The Cypress Creek Bears posted their closest victory yet this season on Friday. They had just enough and edged Celebration out 36-33. Winning may never get old, but Cypress Creek sure is getting used to it with their third in a row.
Despite the loss, Celebration still got an impressive performance from Evelyn Juden, who almost dropped a triple-double on 12 points, 11 rebounds, and nine steals. That was a full 36.4% of Celebration's points, marking the fourth time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points. Another player making a difference was Valeria Martinez, who scored nine points along with five steals.
Cypress Creek now has a winning record of 6-5. As for Celebration, they now have a losing record at 5-6.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Cypress Creek and Freedom will face off at 7:30 p.m. on January 16th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Freedom and Cypress Creek are at an even 5-5 over their past ten head-to-heads. As for Celebration, they will head out on the road to face off against Harmony at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
