The Edison Eagles will look to defend their home court on Thursday against the North Plainfield Canucks at 7:00 p.m. The pair have had a bumpy ride up to this point with three consecutive losses for Edison and four for North Plainfield.
Edison suffered their biggest loss since December 16, 2023 on Saturday. They ended up on the wrong side of a rough 74-51 walloping at the hands of Sayreville. While losing is never fun, Edison can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' New Jersey basketball rankings (they are ranked 320th, while Sayreville is ranked 139th).
Meanwhile, North Plainfield was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap on Saturday as they fell 48-44 to Metuchen.
Edison has been struggling recently, as they've lost six of their last eight matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-9 record this season. As for North Plainfield, their loss dropped their record down to 3-8.
