Basketball Recap: Chesapeake Math & IT Academy South Takes Loss Despite Strong Performances from Jordan Exton and Jayden Webster

Chesapeake Math & IT Academy South lost against Gwynn Park back in February and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The contest between the Chesapeake Math & IT Academy South Tigers and the Gwynn Park Yellowjackets didn't end well, with the Chesapeake Math & IT Academy South Tigers falling 80-66. The Tigers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Chesapeake Math & IT Academy South's loss came despite strong showings from Jayden Webster and Jordan Exton. Webster posted 18 points and seven rebounds, while Exton had 20 points. With that strong performance, Exton is now averaging an impressive 15.5 points per game. The team also got some help courtesy of Lincoln Nelson, who earned 11 points.

Chesapeake Math & IT Academy South's defeat dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Gwynn Park, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 3-2.

After both having extra time off, Chesapeake Math & IT Academy South and Friendly will shake off the cobwebs and take on one another at 7:00 p.m. on January 7, 2025. Gwynn Park and Roosevelt will compete for holiday cheer at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. One thing working in Roosevelt's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points every time they've taken the court this season.
