La Costa Canyon is 0-3 against Eastlake since March of 2015 but things could change on Saturday. The Mavericks will face off against the Titans at 11:00 a.m. The two teams are strolling into their games after big wins in their previous games.
La Costa Canyon is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. Their pitcher stepped up to hand Mission Vista an 18-0 shutout on Thursday. The Mavericks haven't had any issues with Mission Vista recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive victory against them.
Gracie Camacho made a splash while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run and allowing only one hit while striking out nine over five innings pitched. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than one walk in eight consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, going a perfect 2-for-2 with two RBI, one run, and one double. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in March.

In other batting news, Addy Brown was incredible, going a perfect 3-for-3 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI. Those two stolen bases gave her a new career-high. Tahlia Contreres also deserves some recognition as she brought in her first RBI of the season.
Eastlake came out on top against Hilltop on Friday thanks in part to the team's impressive eight-run third inning. The Titans put the hurt on the Lancers with a sharp 11-1 win. The result was nothing new for the Titans, who have now won six contests by seven runs or more so far this season.
Eastlake also got a great performance from Kaili Balajadia as she struck out seven batters over five innings while giving up just one earned run off two hits (and only one walk).
On the hitting side, Eastlake let Jiselle Garcia and Mackenzie Olshenskie run wild. Garcia went 2-for-3 with two RBI and one run, while Olshenskie went a perfect 1-for-1 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Luca Guernsey, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with two runs.
Eastlake always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .571. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.
Eastlake has been performing well recently as they've won ten of their last 12 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-4-1 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.2 runs over those games. As for La Costa Canyon, their record is now 12-5-1.
