Brown City and Ubly are an even 5-5 against one another since February of 2019, but not for long. The Brown City Green Devils will head out on the road to face off against the Ubly Bearcats at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
Last Friday, Brown City ended up a good deal behind Marlette and lost 43-26. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Brown City has scored all season.
Meanwhile, Ubly scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Wednesday. They snuck past Kingston with a 70-64 win. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.
This is the second loss in a row for Brown City and nudges their season record down to 7-8. As for Ubly, they now have a winning record of 8-7.
Everything went Brown City's way against Ubly when the teams last played back in February of 2023 as Brown City made off with a 53-33 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Brown City since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
