Meanwhile, Cordova hadn't done well against Winfield recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Monday. The Blue Devils were the clear victors by an 11-1 margin over the Pirates. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest victory the Blue Devils have posted against the Pirates since March 17, 2016.
Khloe Herron spent all six innings played on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered a run (which was unearned) on four hits and racked up six Ks.
At the plate, Chloe Kacharos was a standout: she went a perfect 4-for-4 with three RBI, two runs, and one double. The team also got some help courtesy of Mia Vance, who went 3-for-4 with three stolen bases and two runs.

The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Friday as neither team is afraid to steal. Alabama Christian Academy has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 3 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like Cordova struggles in that department as they've been averaging 3.3 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.
Everything went Alabama Christian Academy's way against Cordova when the teams last played back in May of 2017, as Alabama Christian Academy made off with a 6-0 victory. Will the Eagles repeat their success, or do the Blue Devils have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
